Dancing is not a matter for choice. It is purest accident that a dancer is. Who can say what makes a dancer, what source of genes and what arrangement makes that particular bodily talent and that particular temperament? A dancer dances, cannot choose to do it and has no say in the matter. If he can decide not to do it, then immediately life is easier, not more exciting, not more gratifying, but certainly easier, for he is spared the necessity to live up to a commitment.
